Westmark Hotel, Whitehorse, Yukon

Westmark Hotel Gym

Everything You Need and Great Service

Centrally located in downtown Whitehorse, the Westmark Hotel is a great choice for families and adventurers looking for friendly, convenient, and affordable lodging in the Yukon.

The Westmark’s rooms aren’t fancy, but the they’re are spotless, the beds are excellent — large and comfortable — and the bathrooms are well-stocked with big fluffy towels and nice toiletries. There’s a fully-equipped gym (that I never saw anyone use) on the first floor. In the lobby, there are two computers with free WIFI for guests. (You can get wired or wireless WIFI in your room, but it’ll cost you an extra $7/day. As RFT readers know well, I think all hotels should offer free WIFI standard without extra charges.)

Eggs Benedict and potatoes on plate at the Westmark Hotel's cafe.

Portions big and flavors are good at the Westmark’s cafe.

Breakfasts in the hotel’s dining room are generous and delicious (ranging in price from $8-15). Some of the tastiest choices including bagel with cream cheese, smoked salmon, onions, capers, and tomatoes, and cucumber and a breakfast burrito with eggs, peppers, cheese, rolled into a flour tortilla.

The best part of the Westmark is the friendly and helpful staff. They’re consistently eager to make guests feel welcome and quickly resolve any issues that come up. —BH
