Dutch Waffle Cookies, Billings, Montana

Wrapped Dutch Waffle Cookies

What are Dutch cookies doing out west in Montana? We’re not sure, but you can find these strange-looking cookie-candies all over the state.

Called stroopwafle in Holland these cookies consist of two thin, crispy waffles  that sandwich a  thin layer of soft caramel.

They’re so delicious they made me wish I’d bought more of them! They’re made  by the Dutch Brothers Bakery Goods in Billings, Montana, and are available at many local grocery stores and gift shops.

Received a pkg. of these cookies (Dutch Brothers Bakery Goods) as a gift from a visitor from Billins, Montana. (We live in the farm country west of Toledo, Ohio) We really enjoyed the ‘stroopwafle’ Not sure if we have this type of cookie in stores around Toledo, but I am definitely going to look for them. Really great ! The Enyarts
