Fanucchi Oils: A Taste of Fine Italian Products

Picture of Oils and Vinegard by Fanucchi Oils in Oregon

If you’re looking for fine virgin olive oils, balsamic vinegars, and other artisan products made by small producers in Italy, Greece, and the Mediterranean, Oregon’s Fanucchi Oils is a good bet.

Owner and founder Gina Fanucchi established her artisan food company and tasting room in the tiny community of Newberg, Oregon, because she’s in love with all delicious things Italian. She grew up in an Italian family savoring good friends, food, olive oil, and wine. She even lived in Italy for a few years, deepening her appreciation for this area’s wonderful products. When she returned to the Pacific Northwest, she wanted to share these excellent foodstuffs through Fanucchi Oils.

Her company offers oil and vinegar sampling in her tasting room in Newberg. As foodies know, there are big differences between oils and balsamics and there’s nothing like sampling to find the ones that suit your palate. If you’d rather have a private tasting, Gina will also bring a tasting party to your home where your friends and family can sample (and then buy if you like) artisan extra virgin olive oils and flavored olive oils, balsamic vinegar, pasta and sauce, pesto, olives, sea salts, and artisan spreads.

Olio Guglielmi Extra Virgin Olive Oil– This first cold pressed EVOO comes from Puglia is very mild and clean tasting. Too often EVOO tastes too grassy and green for some palates. Even RFT Editor, Anne Weaver, who’s not a big olive oil fan, loved the light, delicate taste of this oil.

Fanucchi Oils will also put together a delicious food lover's basket for you.

Galantino Garlic Flavored Olive Oil (Olio all’ Aglio)- A flavored oil with a strong garlic essence, this oil would be a good choice for dipping, sautéing vegetables, or creating a garlicky vinaigrette.

Galantino Rosemary Flavored Olive Oil-This oil, from the same company as the garlic oil, was our favorite. It features a strong herbal essence with a clean tasting oil.

Casanova Balsamic Vinegar (Condimento Balsamico)- A Modena balsamic vinegar, this vinegar has a bright, fruity flavor. It’s a bit young, so it also has some sharp edges not found in older balsamics

You can also order many of her products online. Fanucchi Oils will ship to all 48 contiguous states in the U.S. fanucchioils.com/  — BH
