This is a creamy, delicious recipe created by Houndstooth’s Coffee Educator and Trainer Daniel Read that coffee lover’s will love.
It’s a refreshing coffee julep that consists of espresso with the crema skinned off, vanilla and Pellegrino, topped off with ice and fresh muddled mint. It’s an interesting take on the standard cup of joe and it’s just in time for Derby season!

1 espresso: crema skimmed
1/2 oz vanilla
3.5 oz Pellegrino
Muddled Mint Leave Garnish
Pull espresso into a chilled 5-6oz Rocks glass. With a spoon, skim the crema off of the espresso. Add a half ounce of vanilla syrup. Add 3oz Pellegrino. Top off with ice. Garnish with fresh mint.
