Fun Chocolate Cocktails from Crave Liqueurs

John DeKuyper & Sons have come up with Crave Liqueurs, several intensely flavored, ready-mixed chocolate liqueurs. The editors at love these liqueurs. They’re not overly sweet, yet their flavors are rich and decadent. (See our Crave Liqueur review.)

Because they’re pre-mixed, Crave Liqueurs are a base for making easy tasty cocktails. Here are several cocktail recipes from John DeKuyper & Sons. Try one, try them all.

Chocolate Ginger Spice

1 part Crave Chocolate Truffle Liqueur

1⁄2 part Ginger Liqueur (they recommend DeKuyper® Mixologist Collection Ginger Liqueur)

3 parts Fresh Orange Juice


1. Build in order over ice in a highball glass and stir

2. Garnish with an orange wedge

1 part Crave Chocolate Cherry Liqueur

Fill with cola

1 part Irish Cream


Build over ice in a tall glass pouring the Irish Cream last so it floats on top

Garnish with a cherry dropped on top.

1 part JDK & Sons™ Crave Chocolate Mint Liqueur

2 parts Light Rum

6-10 Fresh Mint Leaves

1 part Fresh Lime Juice

Club Soda


In a highball glass, muddle mint leaves and lime juice

Fill glass with crushed ice

Add rum and stir to distribute leaves throughout

Top with club soda and JDK & Sons™ Crave Chocolate Mint Liqueur.


Crave_Sweet&SpicyMargarita_BottleSweet & Spicy Margarita

1 part JDK & Sons™ Crave Chocolate Chili Liqueur

2 parts equila (Sauza® Blue Reposado Tequila recommended)

2 parts Fresh Lemon Sour

1 part Fresh Lime Juice



Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass over ice and shake

Strain into a margarita glass with ice.

Chocolate Mint Martini

1 -2 parts JDK & Sons™ Crave Chocolate Mint Liqueur

1 part Premium Vodka (EFFEN suggested)

1.            Combine all ingredients in a shaker filled with ice

Shake vigorously and strain into a martini glass
