Moonstruck Beer Berries: Malty Deliciousness

Moonstruck beer berries plate 3

Beer Berries–chewy, malty goodness.

Moonstruck, the iconic chocolate company based in Portland, Oregon, has added Beer Berries to its line of tumbled chocolates and they’re both tasty and inventive. We previously reviewed a number of the company’s tumbled line of chocolates and this is an interesting addition.

Tumbled chocolates have a chocolatey coating that doesn’t melt like regular chocolate.

As you probably know, with tumbled chocolates, a filling or core of the candy is literally tumbled in a high-speed machine and chocolate is injected into the tumbler to produce a shiny coating that doesn’t melt like regular chocolate.

For the tumbled Beer Berries, Moonstruck has used this tumbling method to coat German malted wheat berries with dark chocolate. The result is a treat that’s chewy and malty with a deep and satisfying chocolate flavor. We like ‘em. –
