Festive Tequila Cocktails for the Holidays

The holiday season is upon us and festivities are in full swing. Between office parties, and gatherings for Christmas and New Year’s with family and friends, there are plenty of reasons to celebrate! Try something a little different with tequila cocktails. Our colleagues at Sauza® Tequila offer these recipes for creative holiday tequila cocktails that’ll make your holiday’s just a little bit brighter.

For Margarita:

1/2 part Silver Tequila (they recommend Sauza® Blue Silver 100% Agave Tequila)

2 parts of Cranberry Puree

1/2 part Orange Liqueur (they use JDK & Sons™ O3 Premium)

 

For Cranberry Puree:

1 cup Fresh Orange Juice, about 4 Oranges

1 cup Sugar

1 16-ounce package of Fresh Cranberries

To make the Cranberry Puree: In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the sugar in the orange juice. Add the cranberries and cook over low heat for 10 minutes. Set aside and let it cool. Blend cranberries in a blender, then strain to make the puree.

In a shaker add crushed ice, 1 ½ parts of tequila, ½ part orange liqueur, 2 parts of cranberry puree and shake to mix. Pour drink into a sugar rimmed martini glass.

Sauza Chocolate Peppermint Margarita in martini glass Sauza® Chocolate Peppermint Margarita

2 parts Silver tequila (they recommend Sauza® Blue Silver 100% Agave Tequila)

1 part Peppermint Schnapps

1 1/2 cups Milk

4 tbsp. Hot Chocolate Powder

 

Method:

In a shaker filled with ice, combine all ingredients and shake. Pour into a chilled martini glass rimmed with crushed candy canes.

 

Sauza® Mexican EggnogMexican Eggnog Drink

1 part Silver tequila (they recommend Sauza® Blue Silver 100% Agave Tequila)Sauza® Blue Silver 100% Agave Tequila)

3 parts Egg Nog (homemade or store bought)

1 part good quality Bourbon (they use Maker’s Mark®)

Method:

In a shaker filled with ice combine egg nog, tequila and bourbon. Shake to combine and serve chilled with a dash of cinnamon on top.
