Lisa, co-owner of Latigo Dude Ranch in Kremmling, Colorado, and head chef there, has been churning out cookbook reviews for realfoodtraveler.com for some time now and doing a bang up job. Her dedication and skill have earned her the new title of Realfoodtraveler.com Cookbook Editor.
Lisa regularly designs menus and cooks (along with her two adult children) for dozens and dozens of would-be cowboys and cowgirls as well as a large ranch staff every summer. She puts her degree in English to good use creating a seasonal Latigo Cookbook filled with guest favorite recipes of the year.
Of her new position as Cookbook Editor, Lisa says, “I’m happy to have the new title and a wider range of cookbooks to review. I may not be very fast at turning out reviews between May and October, but I’ll do my best.”
Because Latigo Ranch has increasingly received requests for gluten-free dishes from guests, Lisa has largely been reviewing gluten-free cookbooks for realfoodtraveler.com. However, with her promotion as the website’s Cookbook Editor, look for more of Lisa’s reviews of all types of cookbooks. While the ranch hosts cross country ski guests during the snowy winter months, it’s during this quieter time that Chef Lisa works on new recipes and will be reviewing the bulk of her new cookbook workload. We can just picture her sitting by a roaring fire with snow falling outside and the ovens warming in her kitchen as she tries out recipes for another realfoodtraveler.com cookbook review.
Welcome Chef Lisa. We’re proud to have you as Realfoodtraveler.com’s Cookbook Editor. — Bobbie Hasselbring, RFT Editor
