4, 3 ,2…Launch!

rft-logo-tag-RGB-300dpi-CopyTimes are exciting around as we prepare to launch our all-new, re-designed site this week. Our planned unveiling and launch will be this Wednesday, July 23.

What will you see with the new site?

Better navigation. It’s been simplified and more intuitive.

New improved look. Our homepage will feature new colors and new, improved sliders that will feature stories by category. You’ll also see more and different categories that’ll make it easier to find stories that interest you. We think you’ll find the site more interesting, more engaging, and more exciting.

RFT Contributor bios. Now our wonderful writers, photographers, and editors will have bio boxes with their photos at the end of each story they write. Additionally, you’ll be able to click onto their name and all the stories they’ve written for will come up. It’ll make it easier for you to get to know your favorite contributors and follow their work.

Streamlined advertising. For our loyal advertisers, we’re offering a more streamlined, easier advertising program that we believe will deliver more bang for your buck.

Your Voice Counts
Re-designing a website involves hundreds if not thousands of details and lines of coding. It’s all been ably handled by our designer, Kris Travis, and our developer, Elizabeth Haddad. They’ve done a terrific job and, while we’re anticipating a smooth and uneventful launch, we may experience a glitch or two.

Please take a few moments to cruise around the site. Visit your favorite sections; re-read your favorite authors. And please let us know if you find any errors, glitches, or things that just don’t look right.

Also, tell us what you think of the new We do it all for you. Cheers! – Bobbie Hasselbring, RFT Editor editor Bobbie Hasselbring enjoys lobster at the Maine Lobster Festival
