End-of-Summer Cocktail Recipes

Honeydew Cucumber CocktailIn many parts of the country, it’s already beginning to look like fall. But there’s still time for end-of-summer parties before the cold, blustery weather sets in. To liven up your get-together, here are several wonderful cocktail recipes courtesy of mixologists from across the country that will transport the taste buds to the beach with just a single sip.

Note: These are artisan cocktail recipes developed by creative mixologists. If a recipe calls for an ingredient you’re not familiar with, ask at your local liquor store.

 

Honeydew Cucumber Sour

• 1 oz Martin Miller’s Reformed Dry Gin (or your favorite gin brand)

• .5 oz Freshly Pressed Lemon Juice

• 1.5 oz Freshly Extracted Honeydew Juice

• ¼ oz House Blended Clover Honey Syrup

• 1 dash Orange Bitters

Shake, pour and add sliced cucumber

 

Toasted Tropics CocktailToasted Tropics

• 2 oz Leblon Cachaca (An artisan spirit from Brazil.)

• 1 oz Banana Liquor

• .75 oz Peach Syrup

• 2 oz Pineapple Juice

• 3 dashes of Coffee Bitters

• Splash of lime

Shake well and pour into a Collins glass.

• 1.5 oz St. Germain Elder Flower Liqueur

• 4 oz Riesling

Strawberries

Blueberries

Fresh mint

Orange

In an ice-filled wine glass add strawberries, blueberries, mint lemon and orange and pour St. Germain and Riesling. Top with soda water.

 

 

 

Mango Daiquri - Sea Crest Beach Hotel (1280x851)Mango Daiquiri

• 3 oz Mango Puree

• .5 oz Bacardi Gold

• .5 oz Sweet and Sour Mix

Blend with 1.5 cups of ice until smooth and frozen. Garnish with slice of orange and mint.

• 2 oz Silver Tequila

• 1 oz Triple Sec

• 2 oz of POM Pomegranate Juice

• House Made Sour Mix (Mix two cups of simple syrup to one cup of lemon juice, one cup of lime juice, and 1/2 cup of grapefruit juice)

• Salt

• Lime wheel

Combine tequila, triple sec, sour mix and pomegranate juice over ice in a pint glass and shake back and forth into a metal shaker. Rim the pint glass with salt, pour contents from shaker into glass, and garnish with a lime wheel.

 

Shape & Spice Daiquiri - Sofitel New York (960x1280)Shape & Spice Daiquiri

• 2 oz Lemon Voli Vodka

• 1 oz Coconut Water

• .5 oz Ginger Puree

• .5 oz Fresh Lime Juice

• 1.5 dash Tabasco

• 3 Blackberries

• Club Soda

Muddle vodka, coconut water, ginger puree, lime juice, tobacco and one blackberry. Pour into a high ball glass filled with ice. Top with club soda and two blackberries.
