Cinco de Mayo Cocktail Recipes

strawberry margaritaCinco de Mayo is here and that calls for creative cocktails, margaritas, the must-have drink for this holiday. Did you know that the original Margarita dates back to 1948, when Dallas, Texas, socialite Margarita Sames invented the cocktail with just three ingredients (Cointreau, Tequila and fresh lime juice) for a lunchtime soirée in Acapulco, Mexico? The cocktail was so delicious and well received by guests, it kept the party going for two weeks and 60+ years later, the original Margarita is still the gold-standard when it comes to cocktails

The makers of Cointreau tell us that their delectable orange liqueur is essential in every margarita. They’ve shared with us some classic and some unexpected cocktail recipes to make your Cinco de Mayo celebration grand.
