Spooky Halloween Cocktails

Estrella, a new restaurant on Southern California’s Sunset strip, offers these frighteningly delicious Halloween cocktails. These libations are sure to liven up your festivities and turn any party into a spooky success.


Pumpkin Sour

This cocktail calls for simple syrup, which you can make yourself. Combine equal parts white granulated sugar with water, heat until sugar melts, cool. Will store for several weeks in a covered container in your refrigerator.

1.5 oz cognac

1 oz egg white

1 oz pumpkin purée

3/4 oz lemon

1/2 oz simple syrup

pinch of cinnamon

Dry shake, add ice and then shake the drink again to create the froth. Double strain into a coupe glass and garnish the cocktail with grated cinnamon



Halloween Cocktails - Diablo Speziato - Estrella SunsetDiablo Speziato

This cocktail calls for Lejay cassis,  syrupy liqueur flavored with black currants. You can find it at most liquor stores.

2 oz of tequila

1 oz lime juice

1/2 oz Lejay,

1/2 oz Hibiscus agave

2 muddled jalapeños

First, muddle the jalapeños and then build the cocktail. Shake and then double strain into a Collins glass, top the drink with a dash of soda water, and garnish with a seared jalapeño
