Food Festivals in St. Augustine, Florida

How many cities can claim to be the oldest in the United States? Well, only one, St. Augustine, Florida. Back in 1513, Spanish explorer Juan Ponce de Leon took a wrong turn on his path to find the isle of Bimini where, word had it, the Fountain of Youth was located. Without Google maps to lead the way, he ended up setting foot in North America, on the beautiful beach and called it “La Florida.” The St. Augustine website, and tour guides are a wealth of information about the rich history of the city, which involves strife, gruesome battles, hopes, dreams and a few fires. But current St. Augustine is also rich in its culinary scene and year-round festivals. Here’s a quick look at the wealth of food festivals in St. Augustine.
