I sweat, you sweat, we all sweat-because-it-is-natural-but-we-wish-we-didn’t-sweat. That’s a catchy little ditty, isn’t it? But really, although I love the warm weather and love travelling to warmer climates, there’s always a part of me that dreads the sweat that I know will happen. Even in cold weather, a stressful situation is enough to make me break out in a sweat. So when I was offered the opportunity to try a Thompson Tee, which promises to absorb and block underarm sweat, I had to try it. Did I like it? Read on and find out why I am recommending the undershirts for travel and for your daily life.

The Facts About Thompson Tee
- The undershirts were created over the course of ten years by business partners who know what it is to suffer embarrassing underarm sweat stains.
- They use a layering and stitching system that’s proprietary and blocks sweat from making its way to your outer shirt, pitting you out for all the world to see. Patented “Hydro-Shield” sweat proof technology absorbs and blocks sweat while still being breathable and comfortable. The tees will never lose their effectiveness either.
- The undershirts are for men and women, available in a wide variety of colors, styles, and sizes.
- The tee shirts use no chemical treatments, and are made in the U.S.A.
- They’re easy to care for, machine washer and dryer safe – just remember to turn them inside out before washing or drying.
- More than one million of these have been sold to people in more than 135 countries.
- Every shirt comes with a 30-day guarantee regardless of whether or not you’ve worn it or even washed it.

Life with a Thompson Tee
When I first saw the layers under the arms after taking the Tees out of their packaging I thought A) this is going to make me hotter (and not in a good way) and B) it’s going to be really lumpy. I was wrong on both counts – the layering doesn’t add heat to my body and I’ve worn my black, scoop-neck tee as a regular T-shirt. As long as I tuck it into my skirt or pants, the padded areas aren’t obvious and don’t look lumpy. I wouldn’t be able to do this with the white tee I bought though – it’s too sheer, frankly. But the tees under clothes, even just a cardigan sweater, don’t bunch up and don’t look weird at all. And they are SO incredibly soft and comfortable, I find myself seeking them out to wear during the week repeatedly because I just love the way they feel against my skin. In cold weather, they are a comfortable under-layer that, no kidding, makes my body feel like it’s going “ahhhhhh.” And in warm weather, as I’m racing around, going places, working up a sweat, I am not aware that I’m sweating and I don’t have to worry at all about any underarm stains showing through OR ruining my nicer shirts.
I’ve been wearing my Thompson Tees over the course of four months, under a wide variety of situations to really put them to the test (including a couple of intense bike rides) and love them! In fact, I love them so much, after receiving one to test out, I bought additional ones for me and one for each of my kids who inherited my propensity to sweat visibly. Perfect for travel, the Thompson Tees fold or roll up easily so I can pack a couple in my suitcase. I would not recommend washing them while on a trip because the padding under the arms does take time to dry. So just buy a few, in a variety of styles, and make them part of the standard items you take when traveling, like your toiletries bag!
The guys behind Thompson Tee were on Shark Tank May 2019 and made a good deal with the team. I’m happy to see they are successful because I really appreciate a company that takes a need (and an embarrassing one at that) and turns it into a successful business to help others.
