Two Travel Tools

When I travel, I try to make packing as easy as possible. That starts with having my toiletries kit ready to go at all times. Two issues I’ve had were finding a travel-size toothbrush that worked well and didn’t feel like I had a toy in my hand. The other issue was finding a crush-proof way to store my essential toiletries while keeping everything ready to grab and go. I recently discovered two products that solved both issues. They are now my go-to travel tools.

Two Travel Tools, the LuxPack and MouthWatchers toothbrush.

You’ll be surprised how much you can hold in the LuxePak. Here’s mine, packed and ready with everything I need, including the MouthWatchers Travel Toothbrush.

Travel Tips include the LuxePak, closed and ready to go.

The Luxepak closed and ready to go on new adventures. The book gives you an idea of how compact the LuxePak is.

LuxePak

At a travel show recently, while getting more and more overwhelmed by booth after booth of travel products, I came across the LuxePak. I zeroed in and snatched one up. I can fit an amazing amount of my travel toiletry essentials in this small, hard-shell case. It comes with three 2-ounce pump bottles for liquids (for me, that’s shampoo, conditioner and hair gel), but I could remove those if I wanted. I have taken them out when I know I’m going to stay at a hotel that has hair products I love, which gives me additional space in the LuxePak. But even with those three bottles securuly in place, I can still fit things around them like my trail-size sunscreen and a container of headache medicine. On the other side, a removable, flexible, rubber mesh keeps lots contained, including my jewelry pouch, razer, makeup, toothpaste and toothbrush (more on that below).

Because of the size of the containers, the LuxePak is a-okay with TSA. So that means I can keep it packed and ready, grab it and pack it, and then bring it out again as needed for security lines. It’s all there, protected from squishing damage! Since using it, I haven’t forgotten any of my travel essentials at home, even once (which used to happen a lot). I’m grateful to have discovered it.

Doctor Plotka’s MouthWatchers

My toothbrush was always the last thing I packed, both because I used it before I left for the airport (you’re welcome, people around me), and because I hated the portable travel toothbrush I had. I didn’t want to use it any sooner than I had to. Compact, sure, but it was so small, it felt like I was brushing my teeth with a doll accessory. Then I was offered a sample of the Doctor Plotka’s MouthWatchers travel toothbrush. First, I was drawn to it because it’s antimicrobial with flossing bristles. It’s infused with silver to eliminate almost all of the bacteria that grows on bristles between uses. The flossing bristles are a dual layered bristle structure to provide more thorough cleaning. I’ll be honest, I didn’t feel like my teeth were any cleaner than with my electric toothbrush, but it did work great. The best part is that clever handle that, unfolded, fits nicely in my hand and is the same size as a full-size brush. But it easily folds up, creating a loose cover for the toothbrush, allowing it to airdry. No more toy toothbrushes! And as an added bonus, the MouthWatchers toothbrush fits perfectly in my LuxePak, making a complete toiletries package that’s always ready, whether I’m just going somewhere overnight or for a longer trip.

One of my new, favorite travel tools, the Dr. Plotka portable Mouthwaters toothbrush.
