Nestled in Florida’s Hill Country (did you know they had that?) is the beautiful Mission Resort + Club. Located in an area with an interesting name and a more interesting reason behind it, the resort manages to be appropriate for everything from weddings to conventions to romantic getaways to girls’ weekends…and more. Listen to this his and hers podcast conversation about the things to do at the Resort and in the surrounding areas to help you plan your own visit.

I was visiting the Mission Resort + Club as part of a women’s group of travel journalists to experience it like one would for a gals’ getaway. My husband Jimmy, Real Food Traveler’s Eco-Friendly Food, Travel & Adventure Editor, was along for the ride, working remotely and exploring on his own. Between us, we came away with a well-rounded experience of what Mission Resort + Club offers as well as things to do in the surrounding areas – all the better to share with our readers and podcast listeners to help you plan your own visit.
I talk about the resort’s food scene, spa offerings, golf, pickleball and general relaxation opportunities.

We enjoyed many delicious meals, both casual and more fancy at Mission’s restaurants.
Jimmy talked about his bike ride around the property, exploring the property, artisan market and visits to the surrounding areas.

There’s plenty to see by foot or by borrowing a bike at Mission Resort + Spa.
Together, we let you know what you can expect form a visit to the Mission Resort + Club where you really don’t have reason or need to leave. But if you do venture out, we tell you what to expect, where to go and what to look for.
