What’s the story of Kate’s Real Food?

Kate was a self-proclaimed ski bum in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, skiing by day and waitressing by night. To fend off hunger on the slopes, she created a tasty bar in her kitchen, using wholesome, organic ingredients and called it the Tram Bar (inspired by mountain trams). She shared it with friends, who went a little nutso over it, and encouraged her to sell them. Going into business with a food product is hard. Really hard. So Kate dismissed the idea. But the friends kept at it and finally, Kate decided to go all in on the food bar making biz, expanding to six flavors, (we get a kick out of some of the clever names):

Tram Bar – Peanut Butter and Milk Chocolate
Grizzly Bar – Peanut Butter and Dark Chocolate
Stash Bar – Peanut Butter, Hemp, and Flax
Handle Bar – Dark Chocolate, Cherry, and Almond (our personal favorite)

Our thoughts on this ready to eat food

Often, when we think of a healthy bar, we think dry, crumbling and boring. But we really loved Kate’s Real Food bars. They were moist, easy to eat, had delicious flavors and have kept us full, each time we’ve enjoyed them. When your next meal is far off in the distance and you need something clean (nothing melty, sticky, or crumbly), that’s also healthy, this is it. Kate’s Real Food bars are going to be our go-to, for sure.
