The Story Behind Alpine Pie Bar in Park City Utah

A recent visit to Park City, Utah included a stop down some stairs, through a curtain and into a subterranean world full of surprises. Alpine Pie Bar is a unique take on a Park City bar – the speakeasy and pie restaurant was a treat for the senses. Serving flights and cocktails made with the spirits created by parent entity, Alpine Distilling, a visit to the Alpine Pie Bar is about experimenting – with different concoctions, with slices of delicious pie provided by a local vendor, and gin-making experiences so everyone can try their hand.

While we were there, enjoying a gin flight created by the craft distillery and a piece of pecan pie with a slice of cheddar cheese, we got to meet Sara Sergent, co-owner of Alpine Pie Bar and Alpine Distilling. She started telling us about the history of their distillery, the alcohol distillation process, and the pie bar and it was so interesting, we asked if we could share her story with our readers and podcast listeners. Happily, she agreed so enjoy this podcast interview with Sara. Get to know the family history, how this couple has turned a simple comment made on the porch into a family business.
