When I travel, I go between being freezing to, well, shall we say “glowing” – profusely! It just depends on what mode of transportation I’m in, what my activities are and, of course, the weather. It’s often too bulky to travel with a coat for “just in case.” I end up draping it over my arm or shoving it in my tote, regretting I brought the thing. I’ve long been in search of something that’s attractive, compact, and can go with the flow of how I’m feeling. Unexpected perks of the Mer-Sea Travel Wrap

You may recall we featured the light weight, tassel wrap by Mer-Sea earlier this summer. One of our writers had received one and had been putting it to the test, happily. With the success of that wrap, I was curious about how well a heavier-weight one would work, especially during cooler temperatures, and was excited to receive one to try out. I took it on two trips with me, both during early Fall, when temperatures varied between 50 and 80 degrees. I started out with the Classic Travel Wrap in the bag it comes with, which is made from the same fabric. It made the perfect pillow for me on my flight until I got a little chilled, took it out of its bag and put it around me. Perfect. Then, before the flight was over, I folded it, returned it to its pouch and stuck it in my backpack. Easy. On one of my return flights, my back was aching a bit (mushed seats) so I used it as lumbar support for my lower back. It helped a lot.

What’s different about this Travel Wrap

On the trip, it was the perfect thing on brisk mornings and chilly evenings, looking good and stylish, while keeping me warm. The Mer-Sea wrap isn’t the first wrap I’ve had – I have several – but this one is the best by far. They purposely cut the neck in such a way that it drapes nicely around your neck and shoulders (as opposed to the others I have that are just a sharp “v” which is NOT the shape of any human’s neck, hello). And the fabric is just the right weight, hanging nicely over my clothes, staying on, while not feeling heavy. It just felt comforting while looking nice.

The Classic Travel Wrap by Mer-Sea is my new, constant traveling companion. The only problem is that I like to keep all of my travel gear together (suitcase, toiletry case, suction bags, etc.) so that everything is always ready. What’s the problem with that? I want to be able to wear my Mer-Sea wrap here at home, day-to-day. Looks like I’m going to need to buy myself a second one in a different color. #SorryNotSorry.
